The cottage is pleasant to be in, with absolute peace and quiet. It’s very well equipped with everything you need for cooking, (not always the case in holiday rentals). (Claire and Fabien, France.

All linen (sheets, towels, drying cloths etc) are provided apart from beach towels;

Well behaved dogs and other pets are welcome but please be extra careful when hoovering before you leave to remove all dogs hairs, and also please pick up after your dog. Don't allow your pet to roam as the bog is vast and a dog could disappear for a long time!

We ask everyone to leave the cottage clean and tidy.  There is a 35 euro end of stay cleaning fee, which includes laundering the sheets and towels; this is to be paid (or left) directly to the cleaning lady.

As the house is situated in a national park and designated wilderness area, there is no rubbish collection. Please remember it is your responsibility to take out your own rubbish (small bins in Mulranny, Newport etc,) and anything vegetal can be put into the compost and left over the fence for the animals to take care of. If possible, do your own recycling (recycling plant beyond Newport towards Castlebar).

Please note that some of the bedding (quilts, pillows) contains feather and down, this is very comfortable but please bring your own bedding if you suffer from allergies to these substances.

I try to leave enough things like loo paper, oil, tea and coffee, dishwasher tablets etc for guests and in return, it would be nice if you could leave the essentials for the ones after you.
